Actor - Director - Producer
Nadia Guevara (she/her) is an award-winning actor, director, producer, and arts administrator. She began her varied theatrical career as an actor and teaching artist, most notably at The Old Globe Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Yale Dramatic Association, Moonlight Stage Productions, Cygnet Theatre, and New Village Arts.
She co-produced and directed several programs with Old Globe's Arts Engagement and Blindspot Collective. Serving as Associate Artistic Director at New Village Arts, she spearheaded their inaugural sensory-friendly mainstage performance, and their new program Teatro Pueblo Nuevo, which included their first-ever Latinx TYA and Latinx mainstage production.
Nadia currently serves as Director of Arts Engagement and member of the Literary Advisory Board at GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington, D.C. where her pandemic project Leyendo con GALita has garnered over 40,000 views.
She received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Performance for Cloud Tectonics directed by Herbert Sigüenza and was awarded the Actor of the Year Craig Noel Award for her performances in Cloud Tectonics, The Wind and the Breeze, and Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley.
Nadia is on the Latinx Theatre Commons Advisory Committee, where she has served on the selection committee for 50 Playwrights Project's Best Unproduced Latinx Plays and is a 2019 fellow of the Advocacy Leadership Institute, National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures.
